Integration Products
This section of the System Design Guide provides descriptive operational overviews of the DSX Family of Integration Products. Click on the Hyperlinks in the subjects below for more information.
Soft I/O is an open ended architecture universal translator. It will map Inputs and Outputs of other systems to Virtual Inputs and Outputs in the WinDSX System. This allows the full DSX feature set to be used with those virtual points such as Linking, Alarm reporting, Automatic and Manual visibility and control.
Digital Video Recorders can now be integrated with WinDSX. This
integration allows stored and live video from the DVR to be accessed within the
DSX software. All video is transmitted across a Local Area Network connection. Click here
for an updated list of DVR Manufacturers that are currently supported.
PC Master is a program that is designed to allow a PC to perform the polling and
communications duties normally handled by the master panel. A computer running the PCM software will take
the place of the master panel. This allows all Slave Controllers, not just the
Master, to communicate via TCP/IP with the use of a LAN serial server such as
the DSX-LAN module.
EventCast is a program that polls the Comm Server PC for events and routes them to a serial port or an IP address. This is a great integration tool where the system history collected by the DSX Software can be routed to another system for storage, review, and manipulation.
